Post-Pulpectomy Instructions

The following information applies to patients who have undergone pulp extirpation.
If this applies to you, please be sure to read the instructions carefully.

・For 2 hours after the procedure, please
ーavoid eating.
ーavoid drinking hot or cold beverages
・On the day of the procedure, please
ーavoid taking a bath and take a light shower only
ーavoid strenuous exercise.
・Your mouth will be numb for about 1–2 hours until the anesthesia wears off.Please be careful not to burn yourself with hot food or bite your cheek or tongue.
・Please avoid alcohol and smoking for about 3 days.
(If there is no pain or swelling after about three days, you may resume.)
・Please take all prescribed medications exactly as instructed.

Post-Extraction Care Instructions

The following information applies to patients who have undergone tooth extraction.
If this applies to you, please be sure to read the instructions carefully.

・For 2 hours after the procedure, please
ーavoid eating.
ーavoid drinking hot or cold beverages
・On the day of the procedure, please
ーavoid taking a bath and take a light shower only
ーavoid strenuous exercise.
・For 1–2 hours until the anesthesia wears off, your mouth will be numb. Please be careful not to burn yourself with hot food or bite your cheek or tongue.
・Please avoid alcohol and smoking for about 3 days.
(Once about three days have passed and there is no pain or swelling, it should be fine to resume.)
・Do not touch the extraction area with your tongue or rinse your mouth vigorously.
・If bleeding does not stop, roll up some gauze or tissue, place it over the extraction site, and bite down firmly for at least 10 minutes.
・Please take all prescribed medications exactly as instructed.
